WHO I AM
Hi! I’m Monica, I’m an Italian / French digital artist based in London and Mojoforever is the studio I’ve created where I work, draw, paint, learn and plan projects. I’m passionate about illustration and animation, the world of communication & design and more in general the visual arts. I also particularly love mix media cel animation and digital matte painting for live action. I began my career in Illustration in the early 2000’s and later moved in to animation, landing in the visual effects industry.
WHAT I DO
I produce illustrations for editorial, advertising and portraiture commissions. My work also ranges from concept design to storyboarding and animatics for production development to post-production tasks including editing content and in particular compositing, animating, rotoscoping and matte painting.
In my projects the human figure, fashion, pop culture, the environment and animals are often at the centre of the narrative. Versatility is a significant component of my work. Keeping the same signature graphic style, I don’t stick to one only look but I adapt easily to the requests of a client and their project and decline my own visual language in accordance to the needs of a particular brief. I like to experiment with different techniques often combining the beauty of traditional art with the various possibilities a digital approach offers.
Amongst my clients I had the pleasure to work with Adobe, M&C Saatchi, BBC, Sky TV, MarieClaire UK & Greece, Cosmopolitan UK & US, Penguin Books, Marks & Spencer, Clarins…
🌿 VEGAN! 🌿
In January 2018 I finally made the important decision of being vegan and adopting a lifestyle that aligns with my ethics. Tree years on I wish I took that decision much earlier... Veganism is simply another way of looking at the world and the feeling of connecting with all life and having a positive impact on our Earth is so powerful. Looking forward I would like to work with brands I share the same values with, on projects that reflect the same passion I have for creating a kinder, fairer and sustainable place.
